Smith, Kevin, Walt Flanagan, Sandra Hope, Guy Major, and Jared K. Fletcher.Batman: cacophony. New York: DC Comics, 2009. Print.

Onomatopoeia is used in this book. Onomatopoeia is the formation of a word from a sound associated with what is named .( bam, pow, sizzle)

"BAMM, BAMM, BAMM".

Onomatopoeia is used to further character development  In this case it is the villain. All we know in Batman: Cacophony is that the villain uses Onomatopoeia when he fights. what ever action he does he uses onomatopoeia  Since we do not know his identity or why he is doing what he is doing. The author use this poetic device so we can easily identify the character. He also uses it so there is an air of mystery around the villain.

Erebos by Urula Polanzski

Significant elements
1 The rules.
2 The Yellow eyed Messenger

The rules add an air of mystery, secret ism, and danger. since you can not show anybody. It also contributes to the plot because the rules are so important to Nick and the other players they will do anything to obey them to keep playing the game. This causes people to be hurt and keep the people who are trying to help and stop the game out. Since you can not tell people nick becomes disconnected from his friends and does not speak to them about it they can't help him. Since nobody will talk about it for fear of being kicked out of the game nothing changes until nick breaks the rules, gets kicked out and realizes what he did. He then goes on to tell the other players about the danger of the game.

The Yellow eyed messenger is significant because he is central to the plot. He tells the players to go out in the real world to do certain tasks which can be both legal or illegal tasks. The messenger is virtual so he can not be charged for the crimes that he tells the player to do. He tells nick to Kill his teacher But he can not do so. He is then booted for not listening and following the rules. That is all the messenger does. He is trying to get closer to accomplishing the goal of killing a real man called Andrew Ortolan.

DRAGON DRIVE
BY
KEN-ICHI SAKURA
RESPONSIBILITY

"He believed that...that if you could do good things for other people, you had a moral obligation to do those things. That's what at stake here. Not a choice, responsibility."(Uncle Ben, The Amazing Spiderman)

Responsibility is being able to be trusted and know what to do and what not to do. It is taking the high road and knowing when not to cross that line. It is also about obeying and staying in the guidelines. It can also be about being responsible to take care of someone of something like a pet. you are responsible for your actions and the consequences that come from that action.

In Just lather, That's all The barber is responsible for giving captain Torres a shave. He could kill him and be responsible for that outcome and the consequences of that or he could just be responsible and not kill him and face what ever comes after that.

In Dragon Drive by Ken-Ichi Sakura Reiji believes he is responsible for his friends and responsible for beating the bad guys and making everything right. He is responsible about his       actions and knows the consequences of being irresponsible which could result in the bad guys    winning.

The book I am reading is The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness. Some of the elements my book has are few characters, No unnecessary details, conflict, suspense and a turning point. There are only about 7 or 8 main characters who speak regularly and are central to the plot. there are more little or unimportant characters of course but they are not central to the plot. There are no unnessescary details. Of course there are little fine details but no details are wasted or used for no reason. There is so much suspense in this novel. Almost every moment you wonder what is going to happen to the characters. the turning point was very good. It was subtle yet interesting and really kickstarted the back half of the story.

Batman: The Man Who Laughs

the qualities I expect in a good book/graphic novel is that it must have a great and exciting plotline. It also must have great and memorable characters, wording and excellent dialog. I also expect this book to be well edited(no Spelling Mistakes, Punctuation Etc).

This book was excellent and all the qualities of a great book. the plot kept the pages turning and the dialog fit perfectly with what was going on in the scene. I loved how certain characters were potrayed and given new life through the pictures and the dialog. Overall it was an excellent Graphic novel.

Some other books that I have read that posseses these qualitys are
