BLOGPOST #2

The book I am reading is The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness. Some of the elements my book has are few characters, No unnecessary details, conflict, suspense and a turning point. There are only about 7 or 8 main characters who speak regularly and are central to the plot. there are more little or unimportant characters of course but they are not central to the plot. There are no unnessescary details. Of course there are little fine details but no details are wasted or used for no reason. There is so much suspense in this novel. Almost every moment you wonder what is going to happen to the characters. the turning point was very good. It was subtle yet interesting and really kickstarted the back half of the story.

  1. I can tell that you are enjoying what you are reading Justin. You need to slow down, think about what specifically you are being asked, and then find specific places in your book that you could discuss.

Try to add specific details from the book as support. You could add a direct quotation or describe in your own words the characters or plot that are appropriate for your topic.

Some questions you could answer that would add much more detail to this response might be:

Which plot point caused you to feel suspense?
Why do you wonder about some of the characters? What are they going through?
Which event specifically represented the 'turning point' of the book?

Answering these will help you add more detail to your responses.
